Mapiq’s workplace sensor
Working in a crowded office has never been easier. Mapiq’s workplace sensor creates a tangible link between the physical work environment and the Mapiq platform. The sensors give employees insights in available desks while giving facility managers up to date occupancy numbers of their office. The data collected through the sensors is fed directly into Mapiq Analytics, which is built on Microsoft Power BI.
Not just any technology
Mapiq’s workplace sensor has that one of a kind capacitive technology. Which means that the sensor senses under, but also through, the desk with high precision. This is especially useful for office spaces with standing desks. Even standing behind the desk, the sensor senses someone’s there.
The sensor has three states, red, orange and green. Red means occupied, orange indicates “away” and green means the workplace is free to use. Thanks to the release button, sharing desks becomes a piece of cake. Besides, with the LED-lights, your office already has that pop of color.
Besides taking care of the functional features, the sensor has been given a facelift. The model is smaller, more good-looking and requires less maintenance because of the new attachment system. Two new ports for detachable power source and sensor strip, increase the ease to attach the sensor to the desks.
