Sander Schutte, CEO and co-founder of Mapiq
"It is an exciting time in real estate. Together with our clients and partners we are realizing the next generation of user-centred workplaces. In the Netherlands we currently set the standard in new ways of working and new ways of using real-estate. Our current focus is on international expansion and making offices more attractive worldwide"
The effect of a smart building platform
The Mapiq software platform uses Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology to help employees to have a great day at work. This includes apps and sensor technology to find vacant workplaces and meeting rooms, finding team members around the office and even adjusting the comfort to the personal needs. Mapiq simplifies it all by bringing technical systems together in a clean and easy to use platform that runs on every device. In addition, the platform collects anonymized data and shows data for each office space in a comprehensive dashboard. This allows the modern-day facilities manager to make justified decisions to save costs while transforming the workspace. The growth of Mapiq started with a building called The Edge, in Amsterdam, unofficially crowned ‘the most intelligent building in the world’. Its extensive smart features and super-efficient systems – from app-driven hotdesking and custom temperature control and over 30,000 sensors.
